Is it easy for Ukrainian youth to find their people?? EDYN Ukraine launches research on social cohesion
EDYN Ukraine, within the framework of the "EDYN Connect" project, conducts an online study of social cohesion of young people. Young people and professionals are invited to the survey, who work with young people, to better understand, which helps create social connections and youth communities, what barriers prevent networking and what opportunities for interaction are lacking today.
Youth are an important part of social life, however, opportunities to meet, interactions and creation of joint initiatives differ depending on the region, environment and access to relevant resources. Understanding that, what helps young people find like-minded people and what hinders the formation of new connections, necessary for creating effective formats of work with youth communities.
That is why the team of the "EDYN Connect" project seeks to explore not only the experience of young people, and the vision of specialists, who work with youth communities every day.
Research will help find out:
- which helps young people find like-minded people and build new social connections;
- which hinders interaction and networking;
- what communication formats and opportunities for youth interaction are lacking;
- what are the needs of youth communities;
- what tools can help develop networking.
The results of the research will become the basis of a mini-guide to networking. Practical tools will be collected in it, interaction formats and examples of their application, which can be used when working with youth communities.
The project will also activate a network of 15 facilitators and trainers, who already have experience working with youth communities. They will strengthen their skills and work with young people at the regional level.
Youth teams will hold local events in five regions of Ukraine, aimed at community development, establishment of horizontal connections, networking and involvement of youth in community life.
The result of the project will be a national conference, which will unite youth leaders, specialists and partners for the presentation of research results, mini-manual and successful regional practices, as well as to determine further directions of development of youth communities.
Young people in Ukraine and abroad are invited to participate in the survey, as well as specialists, who work with young people. Filling out the questionnaire will take about 5-7 minutes.
