THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTHDAY OF VASIL OLEKSIYOVYCH PIPASH WAS CELEBRATED
In the Rakhiv public library today, 19 December, a literary and artistic evening was held in memory of a well-known writer in Rakhiv Oblast and Transcarpathia in general, journalist, folklorist, local historian, public and political figure VASYL OLEKSIYOVYCH PIPASH (literary pseudonym – Vasyl Pipash-Kosivskyi).
The organizer of the event was the daughter of the late Vasyl Oleksiiovych Pipash, Natalia Vasylivna Pipash, and the Rakhiv Public Library. The evening was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia of the community, school youth and those, who knew him, with whom he fought together for the revival of Ukraine and Ukrainianness in our land.
The host of the literary and artistic evening was a library employee – Milaniuk Maria Yuriivna, who briefly familiarized those present with the main milestones of the biography and creative achievements of the respected person.
Fr. took part in the speeches. Vasyl Nosa (who also held a memorial service for the repose of the soul of the late Vasyl), Bohdan Manivchuk, Natalia Pipash, historian Peter Ferenc. The speakers spoke about the significance of the creative and public-political activities of the personality of the deceased jubilee, revealed his literary activity, folklore and ethnographic, local history. Attention was drawn to his activity in the struggle for state independence of Ukraine in the late 1980s – 1991 year, development of national structures: Society of the Ukrainian Language named after. T. Shevchenko, All-Ukrainian Society “education”, People's Movement of Ukraine. Speakers shared their memories of communication experience, who joined the organization of the district action, joint social activities with the late Vasyl Oleksiyovych. The speeches focused on the special significance of the publication of his memoirs for the history of the region: “Life to live – no field to go. Or the author's stories about the past and present”, in which the author recorded important events and personalities from the history of the region, took notes and published conversations with veterans of national liberation struggles: by the Carpathian Sichovs, underground and OUN-UPA soldiers, who were still alive in the early 90s, and a number of other important events in the history of Rakhiv Oblast, Transcarpathia, Ukraine. Our task – take over the baton, to use the potential of its completion for the national-patriotic education of the younger generation. The speeches emphasized the need to digitize his creative heritage, spread in short passages (sections) the memoir mentioned above.
Also students of Rakhiv educational institutions, as part of a literary and artistic evening, recited the poetry of Vasyl Pipash-Kosivskyi, which became the decoration of the event.
