Book presentation “THE FIRST DECADE: TRANSCARPATTIA 1944-1954 years”

On Tuesday, 17 October 14.00 an unusual event will occur.

Entering the world of a fundamental book – collections of documents on the history of the native region of the first decade of the post-war period are presented by the author of the publication – V.I. Morenets and representatives of the book publishing house: IR “RED FIELD”.

Ago, we invite the educational community, high school students to take an active part in this presentation, and especially history teachers, literature, everyone who cares about the history of their native land.

A collection of documents from the archives of Ukraine about the period of "sovietization" of Transcarpathia in various spheres of social and political life in 1944–1954, namely: from the Central State Archive of the highest bodies of government and administration of Ukraine, Branch State Archive of the Security Service of Ukraine, State archive of the Transcarpathian region, archive of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast, Central State Film and Photographic Archive of Ukraine named after G. WITH. Wheat, as well as private collections of Volodymyr Birchak, Taras Seglyanyk, Natalia Tirpak, Georgy Rogach and others.

Viktor Ivanovych Morenets is a Ukrainian lawyer, writer, a researcher of the history of liberation struggles.
In his research work: Compatriots of Mykola Mikhnovsky in the struggle for Ukrainian statehood (2012), Earth, shed blood (2013), Chernihiv trial (2014), "Podebrad Regiment" of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic: in 3 volumes (In co-author. with Roman Koval and Yuri Yuzych, 2015, 2017), Church liberation movement in Chernihiv region in the 1920s (2016), The army behind the wires (2018), Two occupations. Chernihiv region of the 1940s (2020) etc.
