Today, 9 March, is fulfilled 209 years since the birthday of poet Taras Shevchenko, artist, thinker, the most famous fighter for the freedom of the Ukrainian people.
On this occasion, in the park named after. T.G. Shevchenko, flowers were laid at the monument to Veliky Kobzarev and his memory was honored in the city of Rakhiv.
"Taras Shevchenko is one of the giants of Ukrainian culture. His name is associated with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people all over the world. It is not for nothing that he is called a prophet, because even today, after two hundred years, his words do not lose their relevance and sound sharper than ever".
True connoisseurs of Shevchenko's poetry took part in this event:
pupil of the National Technical University of Rakhiv City Council Myroslava Zinchenko recited the poem "Testament";
student 10 class of Rakhiv ZZSO grades I-III No. 3 Vasyl Moldavchuk read an excerpt from the poem “Haydamaki” “Homonila Ukraine”;
Juliana Burzhunetska, pupil 10 class of Rakhiv ZZSO grades I-III No. 1 – poem "Plague";
a Yehorova Olga Mykolayivna, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature of Rakhiv ZZSO I-III grades #4, after the introductory speech, she read the work "Diggered Grave".
Representatives of the Rakhiv City Council joined in the laying of flowers; KNP "Rakhiv District Hospital"; SE "Rakhiv Forest Experimental Farming".
Despite time, Shevchenko remains an apostle of truth - he is still alive today! This phenomenon is hidden in the living, sincere words of Taras, which sometimes bounces like a string, and sometimes similar to a sharp heavy sword.
