11 November 2022 a creative meeting with the writer Lyudmila Okhrimenko and a presentation of her new novel called "Oscar" took place in the Rakhiv Public Library. It would seem, military themes do not belong to "women's themes", but Lyudmila Okhrimenko from Kharkiv boldly refuted this stereotype.
The author herself informed the audience about the history of the creation of "Oscar" and other collections and novels. Ludmila Leonidivna started writing in her youth, but she considered her writing amateurish. Finally, the time has come to share my life observations and impressions, using diaries, which have accumulated over almost forty years. Numerous trips to Ukraine and the world, public, and in recent years, volunteering also prompted this step.
She combined writing with volunteering at 2014 year, and with 2016 actively visited the military on the front lines. Later you will see and experience, own impressions and stories from people's lives became the subject for writing books.
An open and sincere story in Ukrainian by a woman from Kharkiv captured the interest of all those present at the presentation, which was held in high spirits. Everyone was able to learn more about the difficult life of the military, volunteers and locals in the occupied territories. The participants of the presentation happily purchased several copies of the books, which will later replenish the book collection of the library.
The writer presented the book "A fly in boiling water in the occupied territory" to the library, therefore, we invite everyone to familiarize themselves with the new interesting publication.
Traditionally, the presentation ended with the author's autographs.
On behalf of the Rakhiv territorial community, the head of the education department, culture, of Youth and Sports of the Rakhiv City Council Nataliya Drebota thanked the writer for the meeting.
